Now I know what a Tag is...

2:51 PM, Friday, 25 May, 2007

A lovely lady tagged me today. This means that I have to reveal 8 things about myself:

1. I was convinced, until I was about 10 years old, that I had the ability to fly. I just chose not to use this ability.

2. The town in which I was born, Ararat, is often described (by me) as a butthole. It's quite ironic that when I gain dual citizenship and get a Lebanese passport this word, in an arabic accent, means "f**k". This word will be on my passport.

3. I tried life modelling when I was at university. It was slightly cold, and somewhat boring. Out of the things that you can get paid to do in the nude, this is probably the least interesting. Sorry.

4. I have four pairs of red shoes, and one more pair with red on them. I am not obsessed. They do make me go faster, though.

5. I have a deformed floating rib. Doctors often think it's a lump on my liver, until I tell them what it is. Often they don't believe me, and subject me to a barrage of tests, then don't apologise.

6. I am unashamed of my love and respect for Dolly Parton.

7. I am somewhat obsessive-compulsive, and will often spend hours concentrating hard on useless things.

8. I got a new job!

Apparently I'm meant to tag someone else. Ummm... Can't be arsed, so tag yourself if you want to do it.

Popped over to read your tag and was thoroughly amused by your blog.

I will be back!

(Suggestion, why don't you walk in to the theme from Star Wars?) ;)

Congratulation on the job! Wherefore will you work at?

I guess "Ararat!" is what Noah must have screamed as the bottom of his boat scraped on the top of a great big rocky mountain with huge boat-puncturing abilities.

The Star Wars theme is reserved for Ya - he needs some acknowledgement.

It's nice to hear that you got a new job. And talking about shoes...I buy a new pair of shoes almost every month. Reasons: 1) Shoes here are of bad quality. The good ones are expensive, 2) Wantoks come every now and then and take my shoes away.

Hi Roberta, welcome.

PCB, thanks! I agree. One must put the emphasis at the end, though, to make sure that one is giving the word the appropriate meeting: araRAAAAT!!!

kk - I miss you too! I'm sure the stalkers miss me. Who else squeals so cutely?

Sabine - Yehia is considering Highway to Hell. He feels it would be an appropriate anthem for him, as I walk in to the Darth Vader tune.

Hi Paul! What's up? You finished uni yet? Shoes are great and I believe that one pair a month is the MINIMUM needed for a sane human bean. Hooray for shoes!

Dear friend,
Ararat is a very dear place to my heart, the mountain was lost to the Turkey but it can still be seen from Armenia and
Armenians spend their life dreaming about their beloved mountain Ararat, painting it, singing it, talking about it and praying that they will one day be able to visit it freely. I, strongly disagree that the writing in Arabic means the F* word,
your confusion would have been understandable if the name of the mountain was "arat" but the most one could with "ararat" is to translate it as "decisions" nothing more!
Sincerely
K

K - Habibi - not wonder you and I get along so well - I was born in Ararat (albeit the wrong one, in Victoria) and you love it. Yehia is telling me off for taking the wrong part of the word to translate, and telling me it's somewhat ironic that the whole word hallmarks the wrong decision that I made by only translating the end part (blah blah blah). I miss you habibi and give you big kisses. Mwah!
